V1 vs. V2

V1 (2021) uses a clamp-style attachment for the flap whilst V2 (2025) features an upgraded screw-in design where the flap is attached with larger bolts.

Not recommend: One sliding door is required to be permanently closed for pet door to be installed against.

Bifold or Stacking Sliding Doors

Not recommended: The way the doors stack creates gaps and therefore is not secure or weather sealed.

I want to use my Mesh Patio Pet Door in a window, what's the minimum height it fits?

Mesh Patio Pet Doors are adjustable within the below measurements:

V1 (2021)
SML: 145.5cm - 214cm
MED: 155cm - 214cm
LGE: 162cm - 214cm

V2 (2025)
SML: 140cm - 214cm
MED: 150cm - 214cm
LGE: 160cm - 214cm

Height Extensions are available.

Can I extend this taller?

Yes, Height Extensions are available for the Mesh Patio Pet Door.

V1 (2021) - Max Height 2.53m

How do I replace the flap?

Replacement flaps are available as spare parts, head to our spare parts page here.

V1 (2021)

Remove the screws at the top of the frame securing the flap
Using a flat head screwdriver, pry open the metal strip/bar that clasps the flap in place
Position new flap in frame, push down the strip/bar to clasp the flap in place and secure with screws

V2 (2025)

Remove screws on flap holder
Remove flap
Replace flap and align
Adjust flap to desired height and tighten screws

TIP: For less noise or magnet strength, adjust the flap to a higher position.

Note: You may find it easier to do this with the pet door laying on a flat surface, so remove the pet door from the doorway before beginning.

Does this go in the screen or glass door track?

Either, or. The Mesh Patio Pet Door can be used in both door tracks.

Use in the glass door track with the Weather Panels to keep the elements out.

Use in the screen door track with the Weather Panels removed to allow full airflow.

The locking clips aren't working?

Replacement Locking Clips are available as a spare part.

Can I use this in a double sliding door?

Unfortunately, we do not recommend using the patio pet door range in this type of setup. The product is designed to fit into the edge track of a sliding door. With dual sliding doors that meet in the middle, there is no edge track available for proper installation, which results in an unstable fit and can leave gaps.

For the best functionality and to avoid any potential issues, we recommend installing the pet door in a single sliding door setup where the edge track can securely hold the product.
